Caribbean Stud Poker - DESCRIPTION AND OBJECTIVE

Caribbean Stud Poker is played with a single deck of 52 cards, and is a 5-card poker game and is played against the dealer and not the other players.

You place an initial mandatory bet called Ante. After the cards are dealt you play or fold depending on the cards. One of the Dealer's cards is dealt face up so your decision is made on the card showing and the strength of your 5-card poker hand. If you fold, you forfeit your Ante.

To bet against the Dealer, you must double your Ante (click "Raise"). The Dealer has to qualify to continue the game. To win, you have beat the Dealer's hand. The Dealer qualifies if he or she gets an Ace King or a better hand. If the Dealer does not qualify, you are paid 1 to 1 on your Ante and your "Raise" is returned to you as a push.

If your hand beats the Dealer's hand and the Dealer qualifies, you're paid on the Ante and your Raise. The payoff of the Ante is 1 to 1. The payout on your bet will be determined by the quality of your hand (given below are the Payouts). If the Dealer beats your hand, you lose both your Ante and your bet. In the event that you and the Dealer have the same hand, the winner is determined by the next highest card (kicker).

The Player wins if-

  1. Ante - The Player has a higher 5-card poker hand than the Dealers.
  2. If the Player Raises and the Dealer does not qualify.
  3. Raise - The Player has a higher 5-card poker hand and the Dealer has a minimum of an Ace/King.
  4. 4) Progressive - If the Player places $1 in the Jackpot slot, the Player receives a flush or higher.

The Player loses if-

  1. The Player folds.
  2. The Dealer qualifies and has a higher 5-card poker hand.

Player Actions/Button Descriptions

Bet - To place a bet, the Player must click on the chip value that they wish to wager.

Deal - Press Deal to begin the game once a bet has been placed. The Player gets 5 cards face up and the Dealer gets 1 card face up and 4 cards face down.

Raise - If the Player feels they can beat the Dealer, click Raise to continue. The Raise amount will be double the Ante. The Dealers cards are then revealed and compared to the Players hand to determine the winner.

Fold - Clicking the fold button ends the current game and Player forfeits the wager.

Progressive Jackpot Payout

The Progressive Jackpot is a "side bet" that allows a Player to share in a Jackpot regardless if the Dealer "qualifies" or not.

Example: If you receive a Flush, but the Dealer does not qualify, you would only receive a 1 to 1 payout on your Ante, not 5 to 1. If you play the Progressive Jackpot you would win $75 regardless of the size of your bet, and regardless of whether the Dealer qualified or not (if the Dealer did qualify, and you had a better hand, you would win both bets.)

You must place your $1 in the slot prior to clicking deal in order to qualify for the Jackpot. If you don't opt in and you get one of the hands below, you won't get paid!

There are only five hands that qualify for Progressive Jackpot-

  1. Flush - any five cards of one suit.
  2. Full House - 3 of a Kind with a Pair.
  3. 4 of a Kind - any hand of four like cards.
  4. Straight Flush - Five consecutive cards of the same suit in a row.
  5. Royal Flush - 10, Jack, Queen, King, Ace of the same suit.
